Fair Play on Kindle
Fair Play is Here — DI Carrie Tyler Book 2 is Out Now
It’s finally here. After months of writing, editing, and more than a few sleepless nights, Fair Play — the second DI Carrie Tyler novel — is now live on Kindle and available through Kindle Unlimited.
Writing Book 2 is a different beast to Book 1. With The Price We Pay, I was building a world from scratch — Arthwaite, Carrie, the team, the atmosphere. With Fair Play, I knew the city and the characters, which meant I could go deeper. Darker. The stakes are higher, the corruption runs further, and Carrie is tested in ways she wasn’t before.
Here’s what it’s all about:
Some teams walk through fire for you. Others just burn it down.
Seventeen-year-old Alice Fareham vanishes after a night at the fair. For DI Carrie Tyler, it looks like another routine missing person case in the Yorkshire city of Arthwaite.
It’s anything but.
Alice has stumbled onto a web of financial fraud connecting her own family to a network of dangerous secrets. When a body is found and Alice becomes a murder suspect, Carrie finds herself chasing corruption that reaches into the local banks, the community, and the police force itself.
But as the investigation closes in, the evidence throws up a shocking name.
In a city where loyalty runs deep and betrayal runs deeper, how far will Carrie go for justice — and what will it cost her?
If you’ve already read The Price We Pay, I think you’re going to enjoy where Carrie’s story goes next. And if you’re new to the series, Fair Play works as a standalone — though Book 1 is waiting for you when you’re done.
If you do read it, I’d love to know what you think — and a review on Goodreads or Amazon makes a huge difference to an indie author. Even a line or two helps more than you might imagine.
Fair Play is available now on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
