The Fifth Door

Hello again from Burgess Towers.

Welcome to June’s (slightly late) newsletter. For once, it wasn’t my fecklessness that caused the delay. I was holding on until I had confirmation of the latest news.

The Fifth Door

At last, I’m excited to announce The Fifth Door is available as an audiobook.

Once again, narrated by the brilliant Lee Beddow, you can find it on Audible and Apple Books.

Incidentally, a subscription to Audible is not required. Simply download the free app and buy the audiobook version from Amazon.

I’m hoping I’ll have more audiobook news next month.

In other news…

In a dramatic development this morning, I threw a wobbly and switched off auto-correct. I realised I was spending more time correcting the auto-correct mistakes than rectifying my appalling typing. It’s early days, but so far it feels so good!

What have I been reading?

At the beginning of the year, I took up the Goodreads reading challenge again. To celebrate (?) my landmark birthday I set the target to read 65 books in the year. I’m one behind schedule at the moment. Follow my exciting progress on Goodreads. Favourite book of the month is Streets Of Darkness by AA Dhand. It’s a gritty thriller with the added bonus of being set in my home city of Bradford. The character of Harry Virdee has recently been portrayed in the excellent BBC series.

Whatever you’re reading, have a great month.

‘Hilarious, heartbreaking, and heart-warming. The tales of Frankie’s chaotic life adventures are beautifully written. May there be many more to come’
